I love Christine’s 90/10 idea. It seems to me that if everyone spent that focus on their inner work, the 10% external action would indeed provide for their material needs. I think that’s only part of the new paradigm. Thebigger part is creating new economic and business models that provide for everyone’s needs by honoring them for their authentic contributions. Otherwise we’ve just given the old motivation paradigm some new language. I believe that we have to move away from the more (money, stuff, etc.) is better model that is killing the human spirit and our planet. Thanks too for the reference to Lynne Twist’s new work.

This was great- it’s turned my head nearly 300 degrees around,and I feel like a slightly bemused wise(r) owl that now realizes he (unsuccessfully) tried jumping from orange to green way too quickly. A toxic allergy to accounting and numbers has interfered with nearly all my well-meaning green (and earlier) activity. Now, thanks to you I am afraid and a bit bemused, but I now really accept that I have to go back to college and really learn accounting (and I got a masters degree through there the first time, in arts management, no less). Instead of thinking “Oh, no!” I have a little grateful voice in my head that is saying, “OK, if accounting is what I need to do to grow, where is that community college catalog?”. So this is how you get greens to charge back into orange and tough practical stuff like accounting? Well, it seems you have finally succeeded- I will now commune with my QuickBooks and Quicken on an entirely new level, with actual appreciation, which is fairly astonishing. My ducks, or perhaps spirals, appear to be finally aligning…

“What if it all goes right?” Anti-Murphy’s Law question, and I think I will incorporate it in daily afformations.
